Towergate Financial Hires Ex-Origen Director As CEO

Towergate Financial, the financial advisory arm of the Towergate Group, has appointed former director of client services at Origen Financial Services Warren Page as chief operating officer. He starts his new role in January. Page had held his position at Origen since July 2008 and will now report to Dan Saulter, Towergate’s chief executive. Towergate also announced that Paul Chafer, previously director of strategic accounts, will take on the new role of corporate development director, to find and deliver corporate projects and major distribution opportunities. He will report to Saulter. In other news, the firm has recently invested in UK-based Towergate Insurance, and is seeking to acquire financial planning and mortgage broking businesses. Towergate Insurance appointed Saulter as CEO of Towergate Financial following Ian Darby’s decision to step down last month. Darby has been named a non-executive chairman of the firm's mortgage broker division, John Charcol, while Saulter, who is Towergate Financial’s chief operating officer, started in the CEO role this month.
